An Enduring Power of Attorney (“EPOA”) allows a donor (a person who delegates power to another person) to appoint an attorney to use his/her finances to pay for his daily living and medical expenses, if he becomes mentally incapacitated, until the end of his/her life. In particular, with an aging society and an increasing number of dementia cases, EPOA is a very important legal tool.
