According to a UK case, the judge ruled that a customer does not need to review the insurance documents by himself. After he trusts his agent who bought the insurance policy for him, he can rely on the professional ethics of his agent to buy for him a suitable insurance policy. The customer is not responsible for reviewing the contents of this policy in detail, because in most cases, he does not understand the insurance terms, nor he can know whether his instructions are fully reflected in the policy terms.
